Oakleigh Montessori was created with one clear intention: to offer a warm, nurturing environment where children can learn at their own pace, develop confidence, and feel deeply respected. We believe early childhood is a sacred time and that every child deserves the space to grow into who they’re meant to be.
Our school combines authentic Montessori education with the comfort of a boutique-sized community. From our thoughtfully prepared classrooms to our emphasis on outdoor exploration, everything we do is designed to support the whole child; academically, emotionally, socially, and practically.
About Us
A Welcome from Our Founder
As a mother of three young children each of whom attended Montessori before starting elementary school, I’ve seen firsthand how transformative this approach can be. It builds independence, confidence, and a natural love of learning that stays with them for life.
After 16 years in medical equipment sales, I felt called to create something meaningful in my own community. Oakleigh Montessori is the kind of place I always wanted for my children - peaceful, intentional, and deeply respectful of the unique gifts each child brings.

Meet the Team
At Oakleigh Montessori, our team is made up of educators who genuinely care about the work they do and the children they support. From leadership to the classroom, each member of our team plays an important role in creating a warm, consistent, and thoughtful experience for both children and families.
Our teaching team includes Meghan, Traija, Deidre, Christine, and Megan, bringing together a strong combination of Montessori training, early childhood education, teaching experience, and a shared commitment to supporting each child as an individual. With MACTE-trained Montessori educators throughout our team, authentic Montessori principles remain at the heart of our classrooms and guide the way we prepare our environments, support independence, and nurture each child's natural desire to learn.
Oakleigh Montessori was founded by Meghan McKee, who remains actively involved in the school's day-to-day leadership, vision, and overall direction. Working closely alongside the team, Meghan stays connected to the children, educators, and families while ensuring that the many details that shape the Oakleigh experience come together thoughtfully and consistently.
Together, we have created a space where children feel known, supported, and confident to grow at their own pace. Through strong relationships, thoughtful guidance, and a commitment to Montessori education, our team works each day to foster independence, confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Looking Ahead
Oakleigh Montessori’s vision is long-term. We’re committed to becoming Montessori Canada Accredited in the next year ahead, and we’re already planning for future growth, whether through a larger space or a second location. Our goal is to remain true to our values: small, personal, and focused on quality.
